Welfare & Sageguarding

Health, safety and well-being is a top priority at Rushmoor Royals .  Our goal is that every member feels comfortable and safe, in a positive environment, and is empowered to achieve their full potential.    

 
The club follows Swim Englands 'Wavepower' policy, that aims to safeguard both children and adults in line with current legislation, regulations and guidance.  
 
As a club we are committed to:

- Adopting Swim England's Wavepower safeguarding policies and procedures.

​​- Ensuring that all who Work or Volunteer for the club have undertaken the appropriate training recommended by Swim England and adhere to the requirements of the Codes of Conduct and Wavepower

Deploying the Wavepower recruitment process that ensures the necessary background checks including DBS and references

Appointing a Welfare Officer with the necessary skills, and who is fully trained in safeguarding and welfare.

Ensuring easy and confidential access to the Welfare Officer at all times to raise any concerns inline with a member's welfare

Managing all information relating to members and issues raised confidentially and securely, inline with Swim England guidance.
